An intensive one-day course providing detailed training to individuals who wish to perfect their cutting garden with the best flower varieties, sown and planted at the right time, and with the knowledge of cutting flowers at the optimum stage to give the longest vase life. And so much more education - further course details are outlined below.

WHAT THE COURSE COVERS

• The day starts with a tour of the flower field to give you an idea of how I work and the low down on what I grow. Of course - everything I grow is appropriate for cutting! (NB. Not all flowers are!)

• Thorough tutorials to prepare and guide you in creating a well-functioning, sustainable cut flower garden at your home, including;

  • what will bloom and when

  • how to choose what to grow

  • growing annuals from seed - what and when; single stem, medium production and cut-and-come-again varieties; understanding the difference between hardy annual, tender annual and biennial plants

  • harvesting and storing seed

  • incorporating perennial flowers and shrubs

  • very importantly - learning the correct cutting point for flowers to ensure longevity in the vase

  • ‘conditioning’ flowers and basics on vase composition

  • top tips and advice across the board for being a successful cut flower grower

• You will be provided with a detailed pack of course notes which will be worked through during the ‘classroom’ (polytunnel!) sessions, where you can add your own notes

• You will take home these comprehensive course notes so you have all the information for future reference and inspiration

• Lastly, you will go away feeling educated and motivated. And having made like-minded friends through the day’s journey into successful flower cutting

If you don’t live in north Norfolk – it’s a really wonderful place to visit at any time of year, with large parts classified as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There is so much to see and do, so it’s the perfect excuse to take up the course and to explore the area

If you book before 15th December, the free cut flower bucket is only redeemable during the 2026 growing season by pre-booking directly with Ellie. It might not be possible for this to be available at the same time as the course you've booked, either due to the time of year or because of other flower bookings, meaning limited availability. The cut flower bucket will be redeemable up to 5th October 2026.

Whether booking for yourself, or as a gift, you will receive a separate voucher for the cut flower bucket.

Bookings made up to and including midnight on 14th December will automatically include a free cut flower bucket worth £90. Any booking made after that time/date will not include the free cut flower bucket.
